About Us!
The main purpose of the club is to
establish and further friendships within the fishing community. It's a meeting place with other local fishing enthusiasts. The
Bowmanville Creek Anglers count for approximately 90 active members
and growing. We meet every second Tuesday of the month at 7:30 PM at
the Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex in Bowmanville, ON.
We are a non-profit club which was formed in the 1980’s and the club was restarted 2013. Our club’s mission is to be the stewards of the creeks in the Municipality of Clarington, which includes Bowmanville Creek, Soper Creek, Wilmot Creek and Graham Creek. (Download - "Let's Go Fish!" We are also a club that teaches and engage local experts to provide education for both the youth, novice and experienced fishermen/women about river and great lakes fishing for salmon and trout. We bring in guest speakers from the fishing industry for our meetings so our members can benefit and learn from experts in their fields.
Membership fees for 2014 are $20.00 a person, $10.00 for youth under the age of 16 and family Membership (3 people) is $30.00.
The club is involved in stream projects and conservation projects with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority and the Municipality of Clarington.
